Getting Dreaded Stains Out Of Your Carpet

Blog

Your carpet plays a very important role in the look and feel of your home. Therefore, it is important for you to be armed with the necessary information to keep the carpet in your home looking as good as possible. This article can introduce you to a couple easy and very successful methods for dealing with some stains.

How to remove crayon from the carpet

If crayon ends up on your carpet, you no longer have to freak out. While crayon can be very hard to get out of the carpet, there is a very simple method that does a great job of getting it out of the carpet so you can't even tell there was a problem.

Take a regular-sized ice cube while wearing a thick glove so your hand doesn't get too cold. Rub the ice cube directly on the carpet in a circular motion, changing from clockwise to counterclockwise throughout the process. If there are still remains of the stain after the first ice cube melts, continue the process with another. The stain will continue to lift until it finally disappears.

How to get wine out of the carpet

If you spill red wine in your carpet, then your first reaction may be to freak out. However, you don't have to do this because there is a way for you to get it out of the carpet as long as you act fast. The longer you allow the spill to stay, the more chance there will be of it not coming out all the way.

The first thing you want to do is to use a clean, white cloth to blot up as much of the spill as you can. If it is a big spill, you may need to use several cloths to get most of it up. Once you have blotted up as much as you can, pour some cold water directly on to the remaining stain. The water will help to dilute some of the stain and make it easier to get out.

Once you pour the cold water on the stain, grab some more cloths and blot all the water up until no more will come up. Mix together some baking soda and water until you end up with something that's about the consistency of bread dough. Put the mixture directly on the entire stain and leave it there until the paste has dried all the way. Once it is dry, vacuum it up and the stain should be gone.

Now that you know how to deal with a couple of the most difficult stains to get out of the carpet, you don't have to be so scared if you find yourself dealing with one of them. Contact a company like Cape Cod Cleaning for more information or assistance in the future.

Learning About Cleaning Services For Offices

Hi everyone, my name is Sandy. Welcome to my site about cleaning services. After starting my own company, I decided to rent out an office downtown. The office space was relatively small but still incredibly difficult to keep clean. I was spending at least an hour a night wiping down everything, taking out the trash and putting items back where they belong. I elected to hire a cleaning service to take care of all those tasks and more. I will use this site to talk more about the cleaning services I received and their benefits. Thanks for your time.
