3 Things To Never Put In Your Dumpster

Blog

Whether you are renting a dumpster for a big event you are hosting, or if you are in the process of remodeling your house, it will save you a lot of hassle and trips to the dump. Although the list of things you can put in the dumpster may seem endless, there are a few things that you should never throw in the dumpster because they may be hazardous or you should dispose of them in a different way. To help ensure that you don't find yourself in a sticky situation, this article will take a closer look at three specific things to avoid putting inside of your dumpster. Are you ready to learn a little bit more? If so, then dumpster dive right in and read on.

1. Pesticides - If you want to get rid of all of the bugs in your house or the area that you are throwing the event in, then pesticides can be a great way to do the job on your won. Although many pesticides are useful, they are also hazardous for the environment and shouldn't be thrown into a big dumpster. Instead, contact your local county or city office and ask them where you should dispose of them. Typically, they will have a hazardous waste place that you can drop your unused pesticides off at and then they will take care of the disposal for you.

2. Appliances - If you are remodeling your house and are getting rid of a bunch of old appliances, you may think that you can just chuck them inside of your dumpster but you shouldn't. Appliances (especially gas ones) may be a bit hazardous, and they are often too large to put in a dumpster. Plus, you may be able to get a couple hundred more dollars off of your used appliances if you sell them online. If you can't sell them for whatever reason, then you will probably have to take them to a junkyard.

3. Batteries - Batteries are another thing that you should never throw inside of a dumpster because they are considered hazardous. Most home improvement stores will have a battery recycling place that you can drop all of your batteries off at so that they don't end up hanging out in the landfill.

These are a few of the things to keep in mind when you are disposing of things inside of your dumpster rental. To learn more about the proper disposal, contact a waste management company near you.

Learning About Cleaning Services For Offices

Hi everyone, my name is Sandy. Welcome to my site about cleaning services. After starting my own company, I decided to rent out an office downtown. The office space was relatively small but still incredibly difficult to keep clean. I was spending at least an hour a night wiping down everything, taking out the trash and putting items back where they belong. I elected to hire a cleaning service to take care of all those tasks and more. I will use this site to talk more about the cleaning services I received and their benefits. Thanks for your time.
